No.
Most students begin their instrument for the first time in 7th grade.
How much should my child practice?
Recommended practice:
7th Grade:
15 minutes per day
3–5 days per week
8th Grade:
25 minutes per day
3–5 days per week
Are concerts required?
Yes.
Concerts are an essential part of the curriculum and serve as a performance assessment.
What should my child wear to concerts?
Concert attire requirements can be found in the Student Handbook.
What if my child misses a concert?
Families should contact Mr. Rais as soon as possible.
Excused absences may require an alternate assignment.
What if my child forgets their instrument?
Students will complete a rehearsal observation assignment.
